With over 8 years of clinical experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, I’ve worked with professional sports teams, elite athletes, and high-performing individuals to overcome injury, optimise movement, and elevate performance.
As a professional cyclist myself, I understand the physical and mental demands of high-level sport — and I bring that first-hand insight into every treatment plan. After graduating with First Class Honours in Physiotherapy and completing Master's level training in specialised MSK care, I combine evidence based practice with clinical experience to deliver results that matter.

About Ben
I graduated from Cardiff University with First Class Honours in Physiotherapy and went on to work in the NHS for 8 years. During this time, I gained a wealth of experience across a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, working closely with patients from all walks of life — from those recovering from injury to those striving for peak physical performance.
My time in the NHS laid a strong foundation in clinical reasoning, rehabilitation, and patient-centered care. It also shaped my belief that physiotherapy should empower people to take ownership of their health and unlock their full potential — not just recover from injury.
Alongside my NHS work, I’ve completed Master's level modules in specialist MSK physiotherapy and have worked extensively with professional sports teams and high-performing individuals — including professional cyclists at the Tour of Britain. These experiences have deepened my understanding of elite sport and the specific demands it places on the body.
Alongside my specialist musculoskeletal experience, I have over a year’s experience working as a First Contact Practitioner (FCP), collaborating closely with GPs in primary care settings. This role has strengthened my diagnostic skills, enhanced my ability to manage complex caseloads autonomously, and helped establish a strong professional rapport with local GPs and healthcare teams
Now, through BM Performance Physiotherapy, I bring together clinical expertise and first-hand athletic experience to deliver truly personalised, performance-driven care.
